Applications

Cortisol first. A platform for further questions.

Published cortisol prototypes anchor the programme. Fertility and broader endocrine applications are future research directions, each requiring independent analytical and clinical evidence.

01 · Published cortisol research

Stress and cortisol

The initial programme builds on published cortisol sensing in saliva and sweat. It focuses on repeatable collection, comparison with laboratory methods and practical use in research studies.

A future cortisol product will need a defined intended use and supporting evidence. The current prototypes are not approved for diagnosis, treatment decisions or consumer clinical use.

02 · Development objective

Fertility and women's health

Salivary progesterone is a proposed development target. The immediate questions are whether the assay can quantify low concentrations and distinguish the target from related steroid hormones.

Research would evaluate changes within an individual under controlled sampling conditions. Fertility diagnosis, serum-equivalent values and contraceptive use are not established capabilities.

03 · Longer-term research

Metabolic and endocrine care

Additional endocrine markers are a longer-term opportunity. The platform concept does not establish that an assay will work for every hormone or sample type.

Each target would require suitable recognition chemistry, analytical performance studies and a separate assessment of clinical value. Treatment monitoring and dose adjustment are not current product capabilities.

Collaboration

Who we are looking to work with.

Clinical partners

Endocrinology, women's health and metabolic services willing to host validation studies and tell us honestly where the device fails to fit the workflow.

Research institutions

Groups working on electrochemical sensing, imprinted polymers or microfluidic manufacture, where a joint project advances both sides.

Investors and grant agencies

Deep-tech and life-science investors focused on Asia-Pacific, and agencies funding translational diagnostics work.

Manufacturing partners

Organisations with experience taking microfluidic consumables from hand-built prototypes to a quality-managed production process.
